Wiz Khalifa's "See You Again" had an enormous week, tipping commercial scales in more than one arena. The track, which nabbed the #1 spot on the Hip Hop and R&B charts for a second consecutive week most recently, also broke a single-day Spotify streaming record over the same period.
Lower down the list, Flo Rida's persistent "GDFR" hit saw another boost in sales after the rapper released his latest EP, to which the single belongs, last Tuesday (April 7). Fetty Wap meanwhile has the highest charting position of his career on the chart with "Trap Queen" peaking at #4 most recently.
Wiz Khalifa Holds On At #1
Wiz Khalifa's Charlie Puth-featuring tribute to Paul Walker that appears on the Furious 7 soundtrack sold a chart-topping 464,349 copies over the last week, a number higher than the next three singles latest sales performance combined. "See You Again," which also broke a single day Spotify-streaming record with 4.2 million streams earlier this week, quickly saw its total sales count surge to 721,193 after just five weeks on the chart.
Flo Rida Climbs Back To #2
Boosted by the release of his fourth EP, My House, Flo Rida's collaborative hit with Sage The Gemini is again the longest running single to crack into the Top 10 of the R&B and Hip Hop single sales chart. "GDFR" sold another 131,436 most recently, bringing its total sales count up to nearly 1.4 million since its release more than six months ago.
Rihanna Falls To #7
Rihanna's latest single, "Bitch Better Have My Money," tumbled several spots down the chart this past week after suffering a 51% decrease in sales from the previous week's report. The single, the latest to be released from Rihanna's upcoming album, sold 65,016 units most recently, less than her longer-running hit with Kanye West and Paul McCartney which regained a spot to claim #5.
Despite the fall in sales, Rihanna's new single is on track to break Gold in the coming weeks having sold a total of 305,917 copies since its release three weeks ago.
