So Viral that it was forcibly removed by Ella Mai’s Record Label. With over 3million streams, the removal of the Quemix from platforms such as Youtube and Soundcloud, social media went into a frenzy! Fans are blaming Ella Mai for taking down his remix. Ella Mai’s Label, 10 summers, put out a statement stating that Ella had no say so in the removal of the remix. DJ Mustard went on to say “when you monetize content you don’t own, you are stealing, and no one steals from 10 summers.”
With a lot of controversy surrounding the situation other artist stepped up to say  Jacquees should abide by unspoken industry rules and not post a video before the artist of the original song gets a chance to.
T-Pain who did his own T-mix to Ella Mai’s other hit single ‘Boo’d Up’ responded to a a fan on twitter who asked why Jacquees’ Quemix got deleted but the T-mix didn’t? His response was because he wasn’t trying to make money off of it.
Offended by the accusation Jaquees tweeted that he didn’t try and make money off it and that he has love and respect for Ella and hopes they can work together on some original work together at some point in the future.
