Syracuse Basketball Coach Jim Boeheim Fatally Strikes Man In Car Accident–Now Cooperating With Police

Prayers Up; we’re sending out prayers to the family of a 51-year-old man, who was hit by Syracuse Basketball coach, Jim Boeheim, while standing on the side of a NY highway.
Boeheim hit and killed the man along interstate 690 late Wednesday night, after noticing a car stuck in the middle of the road. Boeheim moved to avoid the vehicle and ended up hitting the man, police said.
Sadly, the man was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.
According to the police statement obtained by CNN, Boeheim remained on the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
Boeheim expressed his sympathy to the family in a statement released earlier today.
“I am heartbroken that a member of our community died as a result of last night’s accident,” Boeheim said. “Out of respect for those involved, I will not be providing further comment at this time.”
Fortunately for Boeheim, police revealed that he was not under the influence of any drugs or alcohol at the time. It is unsure whether or not he will be charged with a crime.
