Vivica A. Fox has revealed that she divorced her ex-husband Christopher “Sixx-Nine” Harvest because she made more money than him. In an interview with VLAD TV, she said, “He didn’t go out and then pursue things with the same drive that I had for my career. You know, a woman doesn’t like paying all the bills all the time. I can only ask for help so many times before I had to come to the conclusion that I didn’t want to be the breadwinner in this family. My mother didn’t raise me to take care of a man. And that was the deciding factor.”
She also admitted to rushing into the marriage because everyone else was doing it. She explained, “I did. I hate to say that. Everyone was having their Cinderella day and I just wanted one too to be very honest with you.”
She continued, “Why the marriage didn’t last a long time is ’cause I didn’t take the time to get to know him. I felt peer pressure. I had my Cinderella day, but I honestly should have just taken the time to get to know him a little bit better.”
The marriage lasted three years. Although it didn’t last, Vivica admitted that the marriage taught her a very valuable lesson: Get to know your partner before going public. She explained, “I have no ill-will against him. I just didn’t know him and that’s why the relationship didn’t last.”
