NICKI MINAJ TO RECEIVE THE VIDEO VANGUARD AWARD AT THE MTV VMAS: Nicki Minaj is set to receive the Video Vanguard Award and perform at this year's MTV VMAs. Nicki announced the news on her Instagram, saying, "I’m receiving the Video Vanguard Award at the 2022 #VMAs! You DO NOT !!!! I REPEAT!!!! You do NOTTTTTT want to miss my performance.  The MTV VMAs is happening live from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, at 8 p.m. EST on August 28th.

PARDISON FONTAINE RESPONDS TO THE ROCK'S COMMENTS ABOUT MEGAN THEE STALLION: Pardison Fontane has responded to The Rock's recent flirty comments about Megan The Stallion. During a recent interview, when asked what celebrity they would want to be a pet to, he said, “Megan Thee Stallion.” When asked why he chose her as a pet owner, he said, “We don’t have to talk about that.” Pardi responded, saying, “All our dogs named after #s. Just teach your wife to use seasoning … You’ll be iiight … Moana is the s**t tho.” He later deleted the comment.

21 SAVAGE ASKS ATLANTA TO PUT AN END TO GUN VIOLENCE: 21 Savage took to social media to ask Atlanta to put an end to gun violence. He tweeted, “Atlanta we have to do better.  Put the f****** guns down !!!!!”  When one fan called out the rapper for his violent lyrics, he responded, “A song is for entertainment it’s not an instruction manual on how to live life.  In real life I give away a lot of money and spread financial literacy to my community stop trying to make me 1 dimensional.” 

FETTY WAP ARRESTED AFTER ALLEGEDLY THREATENING TO KILL A MAN ON FACETIME: Fetty Wap was arrested yesterday (August 8th) for allegedly threatening to kill a man in New Jersey while on Facetime.  According to TMZ, court docs say that Fetty said on the call,  “Imma kill you and everybody you with.  I’m gonna kill you.” The video recording taken from December 11th, 2021, between Fetty and the man, identified as “John Doe,” also showed Fetty Wap displaying a gun while making the threats.  Yesterday (August 8th), the U.S. Attorney revoked the rapper's $500,000 bond.
