Blxst keeps things smooth on Labor of Love, a laid-back project filled with soulful production, melodic vocals, and relatable songwriting. Blending R&B and hip-hop effortlessly, the West Coast artist delivers a soundtrack perfect for summer drives, chill evenings, and anyone looking for a vibe from start to finish.
Hit-Boy — HITStory 2: Success Is a Dirty Word (Album)
Hit-Boy steps into the spotlight with HITStory 2: Success Is a Dirty Word, his first solo album as an independent artist after spending 18 years under a publishing deal. Featuring appearances from Quavo, Dom Kennedy, Ty Dolla $ign, Ab-Soul, James Fauntleroy, and more, the project serves as both a celebration of freedom and a reflection on the journey that helped shape one of hip-hop’s most respected producers.

Ludacris ft. GloRilla — Real Hustla (Single)
The track blends Ludacris’ veteran charisma with GloRilla’s raw energy, creating a motivational anthem centered around ambition, hustle, and staying focused on your goals. With Ludacris also gearing up to release a new album later this year, Real Hustla serves as an exciting preview of what’s to come.
Local Artist Spotlight: TooMuch
This week’s Local Artist Spotlight goes to TooMuch, the Lexington-based twin duo made up of Jr Da’Thouroubred and Madd James. Since launching the group in 2023, the brothers have been focused on creating music that blends multiple styles and reflects their shared experiences growing up together.
After releasing their previous project, Paper Cuts, the duo stepped away from releasing music for over a year. During that time, they focused on personal growth, refining their sound, and developing the vision they wanted to bring to their next chapter. That journey led to their latest single, “Rockstar,” a record that encourages listeners to celebrate their accomplishments and embrace the process of growth.
The road hasn’t always been easy, but Madd James says the challenges have helped shape the artists they’ve become today.
Madd James: “The journey has been productive & at the same time challenging. With that, we appreciate the journey because it builds character, of course not always rewarding, it’s a positive, addictive & learning experience. Progress & Growth. Meet Us at the top KP!”
Their latest single, “Rockstar,” showcases both their growth and determination as artists. Rather than staying in one lane, TooMuch draws from a variety of musical influences, allowing them to create music that resonates with a wide range of listeners. The song’s message goes beyond fame and fortune. For TooMuch, being a “rockstar” isn’t about celebrity status, it’s about embracing your own journey and definition of success. Whether it’s providing for your family, pursuing your dreams, or simply pushing through life’s challenges, they believe everyone has the potential to be a rockstar in their own way.
When asked what message they hope listeners take away from the song, they shared:
Jr Da’Thouroubred & Madd James: “Don’t be afraid to succeed. Take some risk and live a little. Don’t just ‘Exist’. If you worked all week and you’re off the weekend, you’re a rockstar, if you take care of your kids, you’re a rockstar. Whatever you do, a win is a win.”
With Rockstar out now and more music on the way, TooMuch continues to build momentum while proudly representing Lexington and pushing their vision forward one release at a time. Based on the singles they’ve released so far, I’d personally like to see the duo put together a full-length project. Their versatility and chemistry suggest they have plenty more to offer, and a complete body of work could give listeners an even deeper look into who TooMuch is as artists.
