You know what time it is! It’s Music Mondays with Fly KP, where I give you the rundown of the hottest new music you should be bumping through your speakers. We got a nice mix of legends, veterans making returns, and artists bringing something fresh to the table. Let’s get into it.
T.I. – Kill the King
We’re starting with my favorite drop of the week. T.I. is back with his new album, Kill the King, and this one reminds everybody why he’s one of the greatest to ever do it. Tip sounds locked in, the production is solid, and the bars are there from start to finish. If you only check out one project this week, make it this one.
Remy Ma – Put Em On
Remy Ma is back with a new single called Put Em On, reminding everyone she’s still one of the nicest lyricists in the game. She comes with confidence, bars, and that signature New York attitude.
Quavo – Haavin
Quavo teamed up with Pharrell for his latest single, Haavin. The production has that smooth Pharrell bounce while Quavo rides the beat effortlessly. It’s a different vibe than we’re used to hearing from him, and it works.
GloRilla & Pooh Shiesty – Mane
GloRilla and Pooh Shiesty link up on Mane, bringing plenty of Memphis energy. Both artists come with aggressive flows and make this one an easy addition to any workout or turn up playlist.
Rod Wave – Piece of Your Love
If you’re looking for something more emotional, Rod Wave delivers once again with Piece of Your Love. It’s another heartfelt record that showcases why he’s one of the best at putting real life into his music.
Coi Leray – Outside
Coi Leray brings a fun, upbeat vibe with Outside. It’s catchy, energetic, and feels like one of those songs you’ll hear all over the place.
Lucky Daye – Nowhere Fast
Lucky Daye continues proving why he’s one of the top voices in R&B. Nowhere Fast is smooth from beginning to end and perfect for anyone looking to slow things down.
Trim – Nobody (Remix)
Wrapping up the singles is Trim with the Nobody Remix. If you liked the original, this remix gives you another reason to run it back with a fresh twist.
Local Artist Spotlight – S. Polk _ Wheels
This week’s Local Artist Spotlight goes to S. Polk and his latest single, Wheels. Inspired by the everyday grind, the song is about continuing to push forward while remembering where you came from. Since releasing Westside Baecation, S. Polk has focused on making music that listeners can connect with on a personal level instead of telling only his own story.
As S. Polk puts it, “We all are on our own journey in life and hopefully they can relate the lyrics to their own journey.”
Originally, Wheels was going to be part of an upcoming project titled Music and Motors, but after seeing how well his singles were connecting with fans, he decided to release them one at a time so each song could have its own moment. Looking ahead, S. Polk plans to continue dropping new music while also reuniting with DT Shima for DA FOR LIFE, the first album from DA since their 2017 project Cadillac Dreamin.
