Echoes of Our Ancestors and 107.9 The Beat are proud to present The Juneteenth Gospel Explosion Youth Program Scholarship — a $500 scholarship awarded to a youth program that’s making a powerful impact in our community.

Churches and community organizations with active youth programs are invited to apply. Simply tell us about your youth program — what it’s all about, who it serves, and how it’s uplifting and inspiring the next generation.

The winning youth program will be announced LIVE during the Juneteenth Gospel Explosion on Saturday, June 14th at the new open-air Downtown Pavilion in Georgetown, KY — a day filled with gospel performances, spiritual dance, gospel poets, a kids zone, food vendors, and more!
Important: All scholarship entries must have a representative present at the event to accept the award if selected.
Juneteenth Gospel Explosion Youth Scholarship
Contest rules: Must be 18 or older to enter/win. KY residents only. Contest duration: Wednesday, May 14th – Wednesday, June 11th, 2025. Contest specifics: Beginning Wednesday, May 14th, churches and community organizations with active youth programs will apply for the $500 youth scholarship to be presented at the Juneteenth Gospel Explosion on Saturday, June 24th. Prize: a $500 scholarship awarded to a youth program that’s making a powerful impact in our community. Prize value: $500. Odds of winning based on total number of entries received. Contest is subject to our general contest rules, which can be found on this website.
