This week’s lineup got a little something for everybody from rap legends to smooth R&B vibes. Let’s get into it.

Kodak Black – The Chosen One

Kodak Black dropped a brand new album featuring Chance the Rapper, Pharrell Williams, Gunna, Lil Yachty, and Don Toliver. My favorite joint off this one is “Endless Nights” featuring Gunna. It’s got that late night ride feel and shows Kodak’s growth as an artist.

Offset – Haunted by Fame

Offset came through with Haunted by Fame, and it’s hitting. My standout track is “I Heard” featuring Youngboy NBA. Offset sounds focused, sharp, and like he’s got something to prove on this one.

Brent Faiyaz – Have To

Brent Faiyaz delivers a smooth, soulful vibe with his new single “Have To.” It’s that latenight, windowsdown kind of record  classic Brent energy.

Wale – City on Fire

Wale is heating things up with his new single “City on Fire.” It’s that classic Wale flow, smooth wordplay, soulful production, and confidence in every bar. The single will appear on his upcoming album Everything Is A Lot, November 14th, and I’m really looking forward to this one.

Local Artist Spotlight: Sasha Renee – “Celebrate”

This week’s spotlight shines on Sasha Renee, who’s back with her latest single “Celebrate.”

It’s been six years since her project F.L.A.V.A. dropped, but Sasha says her creative process still starts the same she writes whatever the music makes her feel. The difference now is growth. She’s matured, learned from life’s challenges, and that personal evolution shows in her music.

The inspiration for “Celebrate” came unexpectedly when she found the beat on BeatStars. The melody hit first, then the lyrics followed,  a reminder to slow down, appreciate life, and find joy in the moment. Sasha says she’s proud of how the record came together and hopes it inspires people to celebrate the little things.

Looking ahead, she’s thinking about releasing a double album or two EPs back to back. One project may feature older unreleased songs like “Dark Liquor” and “TMH,” while the other will showcase her current sound with “Celebrate,” “Peace,” and “Clarity.”

And for fans of her earlier work  there’s even more to look forward to. Sasha says she definitely wants to drop F.L.A.V.A. 2, a project her supporters have been asking for. “It would be great to be in that space by next summer,” she says. “Don’t expect it in the next six months or nothing like that, but it’s definitely something I want to do later on as well.”

Either way, one thing’s for sure — Sasha Renee is locked in, and “Celebrate” is just the start of what’s next

Until next time… stay fly and keep that volume up.
