Lil Baby – “Try to Love”

Lil Baby is back with a new single called “Try to Love.”
He also announced that he’ll be dropping a new single every Wednesday until the end of the year calling it “Wham Wednesdays.”
It’s actually been a minute since we’ve gotten new music from Lil Baby, so I’m interested to see how the rest of the year sounds and if it sets him up for a strong 2026.

Consequence – “Come With Me” (Produced by Ye)

Consequence came through with a brand new joint titled “Come With Me.”
It’s produced by Ye, so it’s got that signature soulful hip-hop feel we all know. Real bars, real energy  this one’s got that early-2000s Chicago vibe with a modern twist.

Kehlani – “Out the Window”

Kehlani has been on a serious run lately. Her latest single “Out the Window” is smooth, soulful, and pure R&B.
She was also nominated for a few Grammys for her song “Folded,” proving she’s continuing to elevate and represent for real R&B heads.

Hip-Hop News

Over the weekend, Outkast and Salt-N-Pepa were officially inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame . . . .  long overdue!

Outkast changed the game with albums like Speakerboxxx/The Love Below and their classic ATLiens that dropped back in ’96, bringing that southern funk, creativity, and storytelling that made them legends.

And Salt-N-Pepa? Man, they’ve been trendsetters since day one. Their 1987 album Hot, Cool & Vicious had that iconic hit “Push It,” and I remember taking their albums from my mom just so I could listen to them myself.
Their music influenced so many, from TLC to Missy Elliott to MC Lyte, and their Very Necessary album from ’93 gave us timeless hits like Whatta Man and Shoop, songs I know word for word.

Seeing them finally get their flowers with Spinderella right there on stage was a big win for hip-hop and for women who helped shape the sound we know today. Big ups to both groups!

As always, stay tuned for more Music Mondays with me, Fly KP.
Catch you next week and remember, keep your playlists updated and your vibes right.

Stay Fly✌🏽
