I spent the whole weekend tapped in, listening to new music, so let me give you a quick rundown of what’s hot right now.
Chase B, Don Toliver & SoFaygo — “Satellite”
This joint comes with that futuristic Don Toliver type sound. Smooth, spacey, and perfect for late-night vibes. Everybody did their thing on this one.
DaBaby — “Paper Low” / “Out Ya Business”
You can’t keep DaBaby down. His work ethic is crazy, and he’s clearly back on the grind. Between “Paper Low” and “Out Ya Business,” he’s applying pressure again. I really think 2026 is going to be a big year for him we’re about to see a lot more than we have this past year.
Dave East — East Mix Vol. 1
This might be my favorite project to drop. It’s hard to even pinpoint one standout because the whole tape rides, but my top joints are “Deposits,” and “Maybach.” Definitely worth a full listen.
Local Artist Spotlight:
Ball Munson — “Bad For Your Health”
This week’s Local Artist Spotlight goes to Ball Munson and his new single, “Bad For Your Health.”
The record is rooted in real life. Ball Munson says the song was inspired by a serious health battle he’s dealt with for years, including being hospitalized. Instead of letting it slow him down, he turned that struggle into motivation. As he puts it, “Not only have I dealt with bad health, but I’ve dealt with non-believers of my dream, which motivated me in my rise.”
Although many people were first introduced to Ball Munson through video work, music has always been his first love. He started rapping in 2006 and later picked up filmmaking, which now shapes how he approaches his sound and visuals.
Earlier this year, Ball Munson released “On The Way” and “Remember Me,” records that reflect his growth as an artist. With “Bad For Your Health,” he’s stepping into one of his strongest chapters yet, focused on sharpening his lyricism and controlling both his sound and vision.
