Music Mondays With Fly KP 3.30.26

untitled-8-2

There’s plenty of good music to add to your rotation so here you go.

Central Cee – All Roads Lead Home (EP)

Central Cee comes through with a solid EP. It’s smooth, consistent, and shows growth while still keeping the sound fans rock with. Definitely one you can run back a few times.

Joyner Lucas & NBA YoungBoy – “Deep End”

This one right here is a standout. Joyner and YoungBoy link up with a lot of energy, and it delivers. One of my favorite drops this week make sure you tap in.

Fetty Wap – Zavier (Album)

Fetty Wap is back with Zavier, and you can tell this project means something to him. The sound is a little different, but it feels more personal and intentional. It’s good to see him back in this space.

Juvenile – Boiling Point (Album)

Juvenile returns with Boiling Point, bringing that classic Juvie feel. It’s nostalgic but still fresh enough for today. A solid comeback project you can ride to.

Ye (Kanye West) – Bully (Album)

Ye is back with Bully, an album that’s been pushed back multiple times over the past year. I’ll be honest, his last few projects didn’t really hit for me, but this one feels different. It sounds like he’s finding his way back to that classic.

LOCAL ARTIST SPOTLIGHT – Okuri Clan :Power

On the local side, Okuri Clan is making waves with their first single Power , a perfect companion to the debut of the supernatural action/horror comic DUPPY. This 56-page full color series blends hip hop-inspired design, manga energy, and monster madness. It follows Moses, a traveling sorcerer and exorcist trained in ancestral magic called Obeah, as he returns to his city, Jamdeux, hunting a dark entity known as “The Laughing Man” a duppy born from generations of nightmares and curses that once took everything from him. Issue one is packed with graffiti-style art, animated feeling action, and underground energy, crafted by cartoonist and animator Bryce Oquaye. If you love Wu-Tang, Gravediggaz, Bitter Root, Castlevania, or The Lost Boys, this series is a must-see.

The soundtrack, created by Okuri Clan, brings the story to life, with the first single Power already out on Bandcamp. Each track matches the intensity and emotion of the comic, making it more than just background music . . .it’s part of the experience.

Marley of Okuri Clan:
“Honestly, it’s been an overall effortless experience for me. It’s a little different considering I’m not writing about myself, but Duppy is a lot of things I love all in one.”

Lando B of Okuri Clan:
“The most fun part was seeing Bryce’s artwork in the midst of us doing this. Seeing all this come together made my inner child smile.”

Roc of Okuri Clan:
“The most fun was being in the studio together, adding our different styles to each song. Little tidbits of each of us push the tracks further.”

If you haven’t tapped into Power yet, now’s the time. Between the high energy soundtrack, the immersive world Bryce Oquaye has crafted, and the anime’s debut last week, DUPPY isn’t just a story, it’s a full experience. Fans of hip hop, manga, and action-packed horror will find something to love, and this is just the beginning. Keep an eye on Okuri Clan as they continue to drop more music and content that blurs the lines between sound and storytelling.

If Okuri Clan were an anime squad…

I had to ask . . . if you were in an anime, who would play which role? Here’s what they said:

Marley: “Of course I’d say I’m the leader lol. Lando is the strategist and Roc is the wildcard.”
Lando B: “I’m most definitely the wild card because I’m always late. Always saying some funny sometimes off the wall stuff…I come in the clutch…sometimes…”
Roc: “I’d say, I’d be the leader. I’m not afraid to stand out and make something shake.”

It’s a little behind the scenes peek at their personalities, and honestly… sounds like this squad could handle any anime adventure.

I’m ALWAYS looking for artists to feature.
