Got a solid list of new music for you to check out this week, so you already know the deal. . . let’s get straight to it.
Shaggy ft. Robin Thicke – Looking Lovely
Shaggy linked up with Robin Thicke for a new single called “Looking Lovely.” It’s a smooth, feel good track that blends Shaggy’s island vibe with Robin Thicke’s soulful style. If you’re looking for something laid back with a groove to it, this one is definitely worth checking out.
50 Cent ft. Leon Thomas – No One Told Us
50 Cent teamed up with Leon Thomas for a new single called “No One Told Us.” The record blends 50’s gritty style with Leon’s smooth vocals, giving it a solid mix of hip-hop and R&B.
Bossman Dlow – Motion Party / Let’s Go Get Em
Bossman Dlow dropped a two-pack featuring “Motion Party” and “Let’s Go Get Em.” And listen “Motion Party” goes crazy. I’ve had that one on repeat and it already feels like it could be a summer joint, so don’t be surprised if you start hearing that one everywhere soon.
Jack Harlow – Monica
Jack Harlow just dropped a brand new album called Monica, and he definitely took a different approach with this project. The album has more of a Common-type vibe to it real smooth, thoughtful production and a laid-back feel throughout. It’s not the typical Harlow sound people might expect, but that’s what makes it interesting.
Personally, I like the album. It’s a good vibe from start to finish and definitely one you can ride to. And honestly, don’t just listen to what other people are saying online . . give the album a listen for yourself.
Local Artist Spotlight: KayKay Dah Khidd – After The Fall
This week’s Local Artist Spotlight goes to KayKay Dah Khidd and her new EP After The Fall.
KayKay says her journey in music started when she was 16 years old, writing songs with her brother while he played guitar. At the time she wasn’t taking music seriously, but her brother noticed something special in her voice and encouraged her to keep going.
“He discovered I had a voice and bars. From there I started working with people who helped me develop my craft.”
Since 2018, KayKay has been steadily releasing singles and building her sound. Over time she says she’s grown both vocally and lyrically, learning how to better control her voice and connect with listeners through more honest songwriting.
“Music is therapy. I’ve learned how to be more vulnerable and relatable so listeners can connect emotionally when they hear my music.”
Her new EP After The Fall comes from a deeply personal place. During a difficult time in her life, KayKay stepped away from music while dealing with depression and relationship struggles. Eventually, opening up to friends encouraged her to start writing again, and the project became a way for her to release those emotions and begin healing.
The title reflects the decision people face after life knocks them down whether to stay stuck in pain or rise and move forward.
“It’s okay to fall… but after the fall, you can always get back up.”
Looking ahead, KayKay says 2026 is all about staying active, with new R&B music, collaborations with local artists, upcoming performances, and a new single titled “Bounce” on the way.
And one message she wants people to hear loud and clear . . . KayKay Dah Khidd is back.
I’m ALWAYS looking for artists to feature.
