Three Men Found Guilty Of Murdering XXXTentacion

Yesterday (March 20th), three men were found guilty of the 2018 murder of XXXTentacion. According to Rolling Stone, the jury took took 27 hours of deliberation to find 28-year-old Michael Boatwright, 24-year-old Trayvon Newsome and 26-year-old Dedrick Williams guilty. Prosecutors argued that Boatwright and Newsome were the gunmen while Williams was the getaway driver, and the organizer of the robbery.

Meanwhile, according to KTLA, prosecutors also had the testimony of a fourth man, Robert Allen, a former friend of the defendants who said he participated in the robbery. He pleaded guilty last year to second-degree murder. He has not been sentenced pending the conclusion of this trial. He could get anywhere between time served, meaning he could soon be released, and life, depending partly on how prosecutors perceive his assistance.

During more than 27 hours of deliberations across eight days, jurors had asked to review more than 1,000 text messages, along with photos and videos, seized from the cellphones of two of the defendants, including a picture of a news story about the shooting.

All the men are facing life in prison, which are mandatory sentences.
